“Removed” Outreach Programme

Late October

Removed is a funny, moving and shocking insight into the experiences of a young man sharing his story of life in the care of the state

Prime Cut Productions in association with Clanmil Housing, Barnardo’s NI, Home For Good and Arts & Business NI are delighted to present a series of Workshops and Work Showcases exploring the experience of being in care and the potential for fostering and adoption to accompany our Northern Irish Tour of Removed by Fionnuala Kennedy in October/November 2019.

First premiered at the 2019 Young At Art Belfast Children’s Festival Removed is the funny, poignant and affecting fictional story of Adam that offers a glimpse into the often unknown experiences of growing up as a Looked After” child.

Removed is not based on the experiences of one individual, but rather an amalgam of the many interviews gathered by Fionnuala Kennedy, with Voice Of Young People In Care, a group of young people with care experience who are campaigning for changes to the care system in Northern Ireland.

This major outreach and engagement programme of workshops, showcases and post-show discussions will take place across Northern Ireland at the following dates and venues.

21 October 7pm • Tin House Portadown
