We’re teaming up with Home For Good to pioneer a new training programme that will equip our community to cultivate an even deeper culture of belonging and hospitality.
Becoming a Trauma-Aware Church
As a community, we already strive to embody belonging and hospitality. Now, we are partnering with Tash and the team from Home for Good to help pioneer something that could impact faith communities across the entire UK and Northern Ireland. We will be hosting a special, condensed pilot session for the “Trauma-Aware Churches” training.
Why your presence matters
Whether you are a small group leader, volunteer, or simply part of our Sunday gatherings, your voice is needed. This training is designed to equip us to better recognize, understand, and support adults, youth, and children who carry trauma into our church spaces. By participating, your feedback, wisdom, and encouragement will directly shape the final resources used to help churches everywhere become safer, more welcoming places.
How to prepare
To help us dive straight in, Tash has recommended a short introductory video.
Don’t worry — no one is expected to be an overnight expert! This is simply about stepping together into a deeper culture of care. We are so grateful for your heart for this community and can’t wait to see how God uses our time together.
