Advent 2019

The word literally means, ​‘Come, Lord Jesus’.

As the darkness gets darker, the light gets brighter.

From a small town the world was changed forever.

The coming of the eternal son into the finite world.

Our ​‘family’ can be as big or small as we make it.

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.

Active waiting is waiting that pays attention.

Advent is a reminder that waiting is a communal act.

It just wouldn’t be Christmas without the lights.
